๐Ÿ“„ Contract Registration

Prerequisites

๐Ÿ“˜

You must provide your own smart contract

Paper does not offer smart contract deployment, but we support several contract types out of the box.

Paper supports any smart contract that meet the following requirements:

  • Has a mint method that accepts the buyer's wallet address as one of the arguments.
  • Does not have restrictions on the caller (i.e. msg.sender), such as a mint limit per wallet address or minting cooldown.
    • It's okay to have limits on the buyer wallet address.

Debugging your contract

The contract registration modal lets you debug your contract. You can check your mint and eligibility methods for custom contracts, or the claim condition for thirdweb contracts.

For help troubleshooting your contract, see:

Register your contract

  1. Select Register Contract on the Developer Dashboard: Contract page.
  2. Provide the following information:
    • Name (for reference only)
    • Blockchain
    • Contract Address
    • Contract Type
  3. If your Contract Type is thirdweb, the thirdweb contract type will automatically be detected.
  4. If the Contract Type is custom, the Contract ABI needs to be provided.
    1. If your contract is published, you can select Query Etherscan to automatically get the ABI definition.
    2. If your contract is not published or uses a proxy contract, you will need to manually paste the ABI JSON.
  5. If the sales of your contract are paid to users on your platform, enable Secondary Sales Marketplace. Do not enable this if your company is the primary recipient of sales funds.

How do I create testnet checkouts?

There is no prerequisite to testing with Paper! Just create a developer account to get started โšก๏ธ.

How do I create mainnet (production) checkouts?

Developers using Paper must submit personal identity documents (KYC) in order to be approved for production checkouts. You can do this on the Developer Dashboard: Profile page.

Once your KYC documents are approved, you will be able to create production checkouts.

If you are a business, you must also submit qualifying business documents. This step does not block access to production, but we may reach out to request more information and revoke future access if proper documents are not provided within 7 days of your launch.

Remember to also check out our ๐Ÿš€ Go Live Checklist before launching!
